With a king size bed and decking area overlooking the lake, as well as hot shower and utility room just a short walk away, this is the perfect private glamping site for those seeking a few creature comforts in a truly rural retreat. Immerse yourself in nature from just £90 a night.
Surrounded by ancient oak trees and nine-acre meadow, you can expect to see an abundance of wildlife varying from giant dragonflies in an array of stunning colours, to herons, nesting kestrels, visiting Barnacle geese and our resident carp and our ducks Shane and Wayne, just to name a few.
Little Island Retreat is one of a kind. Designed and built by hand from locally sourced wood, the cabin is full of decorative features including the dresser and door arches which are made from a fallen branch from one of our lovely meadow oak trees.
A stay at Little Island Retreat is a chance to switch off from the outside world. With the lake and island to yourself this is true exclusive-use glamping. The cabin has everything you need for your stay; solar power provides lighting, and the cabin is equipped with a BBQ, kettle, dresser, crockery and cooking utensils as well as a table and chairs for outdoor dining. Next to the cabin is an eco-toilet, and a short stroll away is a shower and utility room with flushing toilet, running water, electric shower, sinks and fridge. All bedding, linen and towels are provided.
If you would like to stay with friends and family, you can add our bell tent Belle Leaf to your hire package. Belle can sleep four people, two in a wooden double bed and two in camp beds. She will be located in the meadow next to the lake so you are close enough to enjoy each other’s company, but far enough apart to enjoy some privacy.
